Simona Dautartaite Al-Rubaye is an Associate Attorney in our Durham, NC office. She joined Brown Immigration Law in 2023 after receiving her Juris Doctorate (magna cum laude) from North Carolina Central University School of Law. In law school, Simona was a volunteer with the LGBTQ Name Change Clinic where she helped LGBTQ+ and other North Carolinians seek to understand and pursue the name change process. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from California State University of Fullerton. Prior to joining Brown Immigration Law, Simona’s career concentrated on the Human Resources field within various industries ranging from manufacturing to academic publishing. She is admitted to practice law in the State of North Carolina.
She was influenced to become an Immigration Attorney by her own immigration story as she moved to the United States of America when she was a young child from Lithuania. The hallmark of her practice is the deep personal connection she has with the immigrant experience – she understands the challenges, uncertainties, and dreams that come with seeking a new life in a foreign country. Her journey fuels her commitment to providing compassionate and effective legal representation to individuals and families navigating the complex immigration system. She sees herself as an advocate who genuinely cares about the well-being of her clients and strives to go above and beyond, ensuring that each client receives the personalized attention and support they deserve on their path to a better future.
